Referee Training

Referees are an important part of our games, and being a ref is fun! Refs get the best seat in the house, and we provide the uniforms and all the training you need. The positive atmosphere of our league ensures a good experience for refs!

Usually we schedule you to ref a game immediately before or after your own child's game. We don't want anyone to miss their own kids play! Refs are usually asked to do one game per weekend, but our scheduling is very flexible. We work around your schedule to making reffing as easy as possible.

Referee Training Schedule
U8 Official Course
 April 30, 2010 6:00-9:30pm Hill Street Church of Christ, Albany

U8 Official Course - Qualifies you to officiate at the U8 level. If you're new to soccer this is the best place to start! The rules at U8 are simpler, the field is smaller, and the kids are great fun! You only need to attend one 3.5 hour class. Pizza and root beer provided!!

Basic Upgrade Course - Upgrades U8 Officials to Basic Referees. Qualifies you to officiate at the U8 and U10 levels. Qualifies you to AR (sideline) at U10 and above levels.

U6 Referee Course - New this year! This class introduces you to the fundamentals of officiating so you can help at your own child's U6 games. This is an excellent way to get involved with minimal pressure and time commitment.
Note: U6 Referee is NOT an AYSO certification course, so U6 refs are not qualified to officiate at U8 and higher levels. But it IS fun, and it's a great introduction to youth soccer!

Hill Street Church of Christ - 1805 Hill Street SE, Albany. Located one block south of Little Ceasars. Use the entrance at the back of the building.

Lebanon LDS Church - 1955 South 5th Street, Lebanon. Across from the LHS football field. Enter in the east door.

Weekly referee schedules will be posted here on the Thursday or Friday preceding each game day.
