Referee Training
Referees are an important part of our games, and being a ref is fun! Refs get the best seat in the house, and we provide the uniforms and all the training you need. The positive atmosphere of our league ensures a good experience for refs!
Usually we schedule you to ref a game immediately before or after your own child's game. We don't want anyone to miss their own kids play! Refs are usually asked to do one game per weekend, but our scheduling is very flexible. We work around your schedule to making reffing as easy as possible.

Referee Safe Haven - Required training for all new AYSO volunteers. You can either attend a live session above, or you can visit www.aysotraining.org and take it online. You will need your AYSO volunteer ID number. Log-in to EAYSO and write down the ID number next to your name at lower-left.
U8 Official Course - Qualifies you to officiate at the U8 level. If you're new to soccer this is the best place to start! The rules at U8 are simpler, the field is smaller, and the kids are great fun! You only need to attend one 3.5 hour class. Pizza and root beer provided!!
Basic Upgrade Course - Upgrades U8 Officials to Basic Referees. Qualifies you to officiate at the U8 and U10 levels. Qualifies you to AR (sideline) at U10 and above levels.
Albany Options School - 701 19th Avenue SE, Albany. Located across the street from Sunrise Elementary.
GAPS Support Services Building - 3610 Grand Prairie Road SE, Albany. Located just east of the I-5 overpass on Grand Prairie Road.
Hill Street Church of Christ - 1805 Hill Street SE, Albany. Located one block south of Little Ceasars. Use the entrance at the back of the building.
Elk's Lodge, Lebanon - 633 Park Street, Lebanon.
